THE COLLEGE PROFILE :

Bhiwandi Nizampur Nagarpalika (Arts, Science and Commerce) College, is populary known as B.N.N. College. The College was established in June – 1966 by Late Padmashri Annasaheb Jadhav, the founder of Padmashri Annasaheb Jadhav Bharatiya Samaj Unnati Mandal, Bhiwandi, Dist Thane. It is one of the oldest three – faculty colleges in Thane district with Self Financing Courses introduced in the year 2004-2005. The college has successfully gone through the accreditation process and has been awarded B+grade by NAAC.

B.N.N. College is endowed with a beautiful campus with back drop of a lush green hill. It caters to the needs of students from various communities of Bhiwandi town and its neighbourhood. It represents an idea example of communal harmony fraternity and solidarity.

The college offers continuous education from F.Y.J.C. to Masters Degree in the faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce. It is a recognized post graduate centre for English, Economics, Philosophy, Chemistry, Zoology and Commerce. The students get opportunity to study in a rich academic atmosphere having a rich libracy, well equipped laboratories and also a spacious playground and a well equipped gymkhana.

(1) Admissions are given strictly on the basis of Merit and according to the guidelines and rules issued from time to time by the Govt. of Maharashtra.

Note: the above mentioned constitutional (Social) reservation is applicable only to the students who are domicile of the state of Maharashtra.

Admission Procedure (for F.Y.J.C. Classes) :-

1) Take the admission form the college after you pass your S.S.C. examination on payment of prescribed fee.

2) Read the form carefully, fill it completely & correctly and enclose the relevant documents to the form.

3) Submit the form to the Admission Committee on or before the prescribed date notified on the notice board  of the college.

4) Documents to be enclosed to Admission Form :-

   (i) Attested true copy of mark – sheet of S.C.C. or equivalent  examination
   (ii) Attested true copy of School Leaving Certificate.
   (iii) Attested true copy of Caste certificate / Sports or Cultural achievement certificate / Income certificate / Other certificates mentioned in (C) above.
   (iv) Attested true copy of passing certificate of S.C.C. examination.
   (v) 2 recent passport size photographs (1 to be pasted on the application form)
   (vi) Other Certificates :- Wards of Govt. employed transfer, employee of Defense Service, Ex-servicemen & Freedom Fighters must submit the relevant certificates from competent authorities, Students showing proficiency in sports & cultural activities & securing first or second place in competitions organized by professional bodies sponsored by the govt. of District, State or national level must submit certificates issued by the competent authorities.

5) After the last date of submission of admission forms, merit lists will be put up on the notice board of the college, showing seats available for reserved  and open category as per the guidelines of Education Department, last date for taking admission to F.J.Y.C. class will also be declared on the notice board.

6) Students who do not take admission & pay the fees on or before the prescribed date will lose their claim to admission.

7) Students taking admission to F.Y.J.C. class will have to submit the following original certificates to the Admission Committee.
   (i) Mark-sheet of S.S.C. or equivalent examination (to be returned along with the result of F.Y.J.C. examination)
   ii) Schools Leaving Certificate ( to be retained by the college)
   iii)Caste certificate and / or other relevant certificates ( for the verification & return )

8) Change in the faculty will be allowed only after 31st August and at the discretion of the Prinicipal.

9) All admissions are Provisional unless and until confirmed by the appropriate authorities.

10) Any other matter not covered by the above will rest at the absolute discretion of the Principal, Subject to the guidelines issued by the Government and the Management of the College.

 

ADMISSION PRODURE (FOR S.Y.J.C. CLASSES) :-

1) Preference for admission to S.Y.J.C. class will be given to inhouse students.

2) Admission to other eligible students will be given only if there are vacancies and only on the basis of merit.

4) Students declared eligible  for admission will offer the same subjects offered at the F.Y.J.C. level. Those other than in-house students will offer the subjects suggested by the Admission Committee.

5) Documents to be enclosed to Admission Form :-


   (i) Original School leaving Certificate with one attested true copy ( in case of those )
